Snow Monkey Family Jigokudani Yaen-koen, Japan

This mother, juvenile and infant monkey were sitting in the snow. They were in this position for only a moment. The snow was falling and it was quite cold. One can see the snow falling in the picture. The older monkey’s faces are red and the young are brown. The redness comes with age. The fur around their faces look as if they are wearing parkas. I love the juxtaposition of the monkeys in this picture.
