Stellar Eagle in Winter

On the island of Hokkaido, sea eagles come closer to land during the winter months because of a confluence of ice flow during this time. We were very fortunate in finding this Stellar eagle perched in a tree nearby. Using a 500 mm lens, I was able to get a closeup of the eagle. I took several pictures, but I thought this one showed the eagle best while it was sitting in its regal perch
